Reciprocal Interviewing Toolkit

Developed for the Chester County Technical College High School, this toolkit is designed to help employers interview students in a way that focuses on strengths, reduces bias, builds connection, and improves opportunities for both students and employers.

We created this toolkit for employers and interviewers who conduct mock or formal interviews with Generation Z students. It provides a collection of practical tools, resources, and articles designed to support interview preparation and implementation. Interviewers are encouraged to select the materials that best align with their interviewing style, organizational needs, and the context of the interview experience.

Interview Preparation for CTE Educators and Employers

CTE Student Interview/Reciprocity Model

This brief video may be used with employers and others who are preparing to interview Career and Techical Education (CTE) students for careers or specific jobs. Use this video as part of a brief training of both students and potential employers or counselors prior to interviews for internships, apprenticeships, or open positions. Recognizing Generation Z students’ assets can open minds, overcome biases, and help employers recognize the many gifts and talents new employees can bring to the workplace.
